Garden City Community Centre / Seven Oaks Arena is pleased to provide affordable Learn to Skate programming. Our program focuses on fun, positive, basic skill development.
GCCC Learn to Skate TOTS – Ages 4-6
This program is perfect for new, young skaters. Parent participation is not required; however, parents may skate with their child until the child is more comfortable on their own. We prefer/recommend that children skate on their own wherever possible. Should your child be reluctant to go on the ice by themselves, arrangements can be made with the instructor to go on the ice for the first couple of sessions. Well fitted, sharpened skates and a CSA approved ice (hockey) helmet are
GCCC Learn to Skate YOUTH– Ages 6-12
Participants are instructed by a NCCP certified coach and assisted by trained Program Assistants in a group format according to the child’s skating ability. Coaches make the sessions fun with teaching aids, music, and a wide variety of activities. Focus is placed on balance, control, and agility. Skaters progress at their own rate. Well fitted, sharpened skates and a CSA approved ice (hockey) helmet are mandatory. Younger experienced skaters may be moved up from TOTS to this group at the discretion of the instructor. Please Note: We do not supply nor rent out skates or helmets.

REFUND POLICY: PLEASE NOTE THAT NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE FIRST SESSION HAS TAKEN PLACE. NO REFUNDS UNLESS SUPPORTED BY MEDICAL DOCUMENTATION. AN ADMINISTRATION FEE OF $25.00 IS APPLICABLE TO ALL REFUNDS
